Position: The individual will be responsible for providing Biorepository services to a large research community of physicians, nurses, clinical research personnel, and clinical care coordinators in guaranteeing the success of the biospecimen collection. QUALIFICATIONS:

| Must have working knowledge of medical terminology and medical experience either in a clinical and/or research setting. | |
| Experience and proficiency with gross examinations, tissue trimming & processing, embedding, cassette and slide labeling, sectioning of paraffin and frozen samples, including serial sectioning, and cover slipping, is required. | |

A microtomy sectioning rate of approximately 120 blocks/day with a 3%< recut rate should be maintained. 4. Additional responsibilities may include routine processing, embedding, and H&E staining of tissue sections as well as the operation of automated laboratory equipment associated with these functions. 5. Assist with the generation of reports and various gross and histopathologic evaluations. 6. Other tasks may include file maintenance; instrument and equipment maintenance; quality control checks; and related laboratory tasks. 7. Perform all work according to Federal GULP's and laboratory SOP's.
Requirements: * Associates degree in health science (Biology, etc.). * BS preferred. * Certified Histotechnologist / Histotechnician (HTL) (HT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). * 5+ years of progressive histology / pathology and/or equivalent experience.
