Ray Lynch, MD Family Practice,  Melbourne, FL (1992-1994) 

  Physician/Administrator built the practice to 2,500 patients and produced over $425,000 gross annual income.  Improved efficiency to see 130+ patients per week.  Offered services such as EKG, X-Ray, pulmonary function testing, osteograms, immunizations, circumcisions, and flexible sigmoidoscopy. 

Created the business plan and proforma for business start-up.

Trained and managed four employees.

Clinical director for hematology/chemistry laboratory services.

Computerized the bookkeeping and accounting systems, including on-line billing for Medicare and Medicaid.

Assembled state-of-the-art computer software for patient education and discharge information with terminals in each exam room.

Initiated Practice Newsletter for patients and their families as part of a Marketing Plan.

Served as provider for a Primary Care Case Management managed care organization.

Provided Utilization Review for Vocational Rehabilitation in Florida.

 

  Emergency Department Physician (1982 - 1992)

Practiced in Level I Major Trauma center with volume of 140 patients/day and performing invasive procedures including: Thoracotomy, Internal Cardiac Massage, Peritoneal Lavage, Chest tubes, central lines, intubation, fracture closed reduction and splinting, wound closure, extensor tendon repair, and plastic surgery closures.

Performed Quality Assurance studies for the physician group.

Defined uncompensated care for emergency physicians in Florida through American College Emergency Physicians Reimbursement Committee.

Promoted legislative key contact system to association members and lobbied in Washington and Tallahassee for Trauma Legislation.

Authored Basic Life Support treatment guidelines to be used by volunteer emergency medical services (EMS) throughout Indiana.

Created Striving for Excellence Award for EMS services utilizing treatment guidelines.

  Medical Consultant to Audio-Medical, Inc. (1983-1986)  

Performed on-site physical exams and other occupational medicine services. 

Authored a computer program that performed interpretative algorithms and reports for pulmonary function tests. Trained technicians to operate the program.

Interpreted 1,500+ tests in eight months.

  Diagnostic Electrical Impedance System (1983-1986)  

Sole proprietor of a noninvasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic testing system utilizing impedance technology.

Designed and copyrighted an original software system for complete diagnostic testing system operation.

Developed a Training and Procedure Program with materials and personally trained allied health professionals as technicians.

Set up a second unit at Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.
