17. All discs compress upon each other. During the day gravity inertial shorten the height of the discs, so you are shorter at night than the morning.

28. Scale would read half of Nellie Newton’s weight.

46. You and the wall both have the same horizontal speed due to inertia, so when you jump up you continue to move as the wall moves with the earth.
