Please help me identify what was helpful to you while learning NMT 222 this Spring Semester (03-02).

1. Did the lectures help your understanding of the material? 10 Yes 0 No

· Yes, Dr. Lynch always does a great job of getting the point across.

· Sometimes I left class feeling really confused, but having the sites to download and print really helps!

· Yes, of course! The book is too much info and puts me to sleep.

· Yes. My comprehension of the material was about 85% lecture and 15% self reading.

· Definitely, the text material was very in depth. The lectures helped to summarize important information.

· After reading the chapter, the lecture enhanced my understanding of what it was I read.

2. Comment on the quality of the Internet site and how it was helpful to you.

· The site was very useful. Just took me a while to get my home computer setup online.

· The internet site is greatly appreciated. When studying at home, if you have a question, you are very likely to find your answer on one of those sites. I noticed it also helps with a lot of LaRay’s stuff too!

· It is definitely helpful. I liked being able to print out the PowerPoint info before class, so I could write notes on the right slides.

· I think the website is organized well, and provides a lot of interesting information.

· Great! Used it a great deal for understanding outlines in lectures and as a reference. Nice for checking grades too!

3. Comment on the SmartBoard enhancement for the classroom.

· Great Idea – I just needed glasses.

· Saves time instead of doing all that writing on the chalkboard and makes for better understanding because of the visual aspect.

· I’m not sure if I like it or not. I hated it in the beginning because you clicked from slide to slide too quick & I couldn’t write down everything but once I had the printouts it was much easier. I still like the old blackboard!

· I think that was really cool. I like watching material being presented rather than writing it. To know I could get all that info from a computer “website” was good.

· Allowed Dr. Lynch to access reference materials quickly.

· I like it.

· It seemed to provide a much more efficient flow of showing information. Very nice for problem examples.

· It is very helpful for the outlines & PowerPoints.

· The SmartBoard kept my attention more than the chalkboard because of the animation and graphics it provided.

· It was helpful, but maybe some practice could help.

· More time in class.

· Dr. Lynch, its obvious how much time and effort you spent looking up info and web sites. All your hard work definitely helps the students to understand! We were told from previous classes what the previous teacher was like…….boy are we glad we had you! Thanks J

· Maybe some more homework problems. I don’t think you need to make any improvements. Just make sure you have enough paper in the printers next time!
